About In the Loft Studios & Myself

In the Loft Studios began when I was in college, in Ellensburg, WA, sometime around 1997. I had a studio apartment downtown, above a pizza restaurant. This is of course the "Loft" to which the name refers. The first of the "Studios" was mostly involved with music and audio. At that time I was a performance major in the music school at Central. I was especially interested in recording and began producing albums for myself and others. In 1999, I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Music Business. It was the next year that I took to web design, initially to satisfy my personal need for a website to promote my own musical endeavors. That website led to several others and eventually I had a small collection of clients whom I maintained as a side business to the print, audio and video "Studios". Thus web became the fourth of my "Studios". I began my study of PHP and MySql sometime around 2003, and soon-thereafter picked up javascript and css. Until about 2008 I remained deeply involved with digital audio and video. Two years ago, I met a guy who told me about Drupal. Having built many web applications from scratch, my own framework called Easter, and many websites the "old-fashioned" way, I was skeptical that Drupal had anything to offer me. I quickly discovered I had been mistaken. Drupal has, in fact, become my "Studio" of choice and I am now exclusively involved in Drupal-centric web development. I have yet to find a project, concept, or design, which I was unable to realize within the Drupal framework, and this is why I feel confident in hitching my cart to this wagon for the foreseeable future. I am especially interested in pushing Drupal's envelope at all levels both theme and module, thus the tagline, "Extreme Drupal Tweaks, Modules, Themes".

My name is Aaron Klump. I am the owner of In the Loft Studios. Since my birth in 1974, I have lived in Vancouver, WA; Sandane, Norway; Ellensburg, WA; Yeosu, South Korea; and Seattle, WA. I now live in Bellingham, Washington with my wife Hillary, and daughters Maia and Ruth.
